PolarGate AI

# Ask what to watch in your own words

PolarGate AI searches your own playlist for what you ask and lets you refine it in the same conversation.

Last updated: 16 October 2026

## How it works

Talk to it the way you would to someone on the sofa, and it answers with titles from your catalogue.

1.

### Ask for something

Type in search or open PolarGate AI from Home. For example, “’80s horror movies” or “A comedy the whole family can watch”.

2.

### It searches your catalogue

It only looks at the movies and series in your playlist. It shows the best matches and the filters it understood, and you can remove any of them with a tap.

3.

### Refine without starting over

Keep going in the same conversation: “now only ones after 2017”. Tap “New” to start another.

## Refine it in the same conversation

Ask for “Something sci-fi for tonight, under two hours” and it answers with six movies from your playlist and tells you where to start. The filters it understood stay in view, such as “Science Fiction” or “Under 120 min”, and below it suggests where to go next.

When there are many matches, it shows the best ones and asks you to narrow it down to see others. It searches by genre, year, length, language, country, cast or director.

## What is sent to the AI model

The first time, the app shows you what is sent and asks for your permission. Without it, PolarGate AI stays off. To understand you, what you type goes to two artificial intelligence companies: Anthropic and OpenAI.

### What is sent

- What you type in search
- Matching titles from your catalogue

Anthropic (its Claude model) receives what you type and the matching titles, to answer you. OpenAI receives only the text of your search, to turn it into the vector used for searching.

### What is not sent

- Your name, your email or your playlist details

Under their terms, neither company uses what you send to train its models.

You can withdraw your permission at any time in Account, with “Withdraw AI Permission”.
